One of the first things to do when studying how to perform the guitar is to understand the notes. Learning guitar notes is not something you can do overnight, you need time and practice. On a guitar they are played on the fret board. You should not be afraid of the fret board. Learning guitar notes is an important episode in guitar playing, even if it seems tricky keep practicing.

Playing the very first melodies on your guitar will be easier if you understand the notes on the first guitar string. The first string offers 3 notes, E, F (first fret), and G (third fret). The second string is B, C (first fret), and D (third fret). Now it is time for you to conduct some exercises. Slowly perform these notes and make sure that you concentrate to study them well.

A good way to learn is to practice on easy melodies. You have to be able to identify the notes as well as their names and sounds.

After mastering the notes on the first two strings, you have to continue on the third string. G is the open string and the other note is A (second fret). As soon as you feel prepared try playing the 3 strings together using simple songs. You don’t have to work on all the notes at once. Try to master each of them, one at the time. Even little children can study guitar notes easily. If you follow this process you will soon be able to play the guitar.

Not having your own guitar will make learning guitar notes a lot more complicated. You can’t depend entirely on the music sheets that you have. You have to train to identify every sounds played on the guitar. Again, you can not study correctly if you do not have a guitar. Once you study to read a music sheet, you can perform more advanced songs.

Everyone knows nursery rhymes and even if you’re all grown up, you still identify these songs. Learning guitar notes will be a lot easier if you start using these simple songs. Then, you can play the songs that you like.

If you recognize what you are doing, learning guitar notes will not be as difficult. You don’t need an expert teacherĀ  to study these things. You can learn by yourself using DVD programs or internet guitar programs. You can also use an lessons book. However if you do not like studying alone and prefer having a teacher that is totally all right. But keep in mind that if you do not have a positive attitude, hiring a teacher will not make any difference.

The objective in studying guitar notes is to understand them off the top of your head. Then you can concentrate on other aspects of the guitar learning process. Make sure that you stay motivated and that you have fun while learning.
